Date: Thursday, July 21, 2022
Time: 12:00pm - 6:00pm
Location: Humanities Gateway 1010 at UC Irvine
We are happy to host Educators Day in person this year as the New Swan Shakespeare Theater returns this summer. Please join us on campus for an afternoon of study that uses Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors to explore themes of travel, exile, hospitality, sanctuary, and the challenges that face strangers in a strange land. Following our text study is an acting demonstration, and there will be opportunities to discuss the play with fellow teachers throughout the day.
To conclude our time together, we will share a meal and walk over to the New Swan Shakespeare Theater to view the 8:00pm performance of “The Comedy of Errrorrs." Two free tickets are included with your registration.
Educators Day is open to current teachers, retired teachers, student teachers, and the teacher-curious. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by completing this form.
Parking information is forthcoming.
